The WDO Board of Directors Report 2024

• WDO World & European Championships

We wish to extend sincere thanks to all Organisers who hosted the WDO Championships. Excellent entries of the highest level from the competitors who attended these championships confirm that WDO Organisers are producing very well organised championships.

• WDO Ranking Events & WDO recognised events

We also wish to thank all Organisers who hosted the WDO Ranking events and WDO Recognised Events. Special thanks go to the Organisers who to hosted the WDO World Grand Slam Series Ranking events and awarded competitors very generous prize money.

• WDO Ranking Awards

This year WDO once again presented Ranking Awards to the top Amateur and Professional couples in Bournemouth in January. A total of £30,300.00 was presented by the WDO to the Competitors highest ranked over the series of Ranking events.

WDO Senior Ranking was launched in January 2024 and it was great to see that Senior competitors responded very enthusiastically.

WDO Pro Am ranking was also introduced in 2024 and announced at The Gala, which was most glamorous event held at the Natural History Museum in London. A wonderful occasion that the WDO are very honoured to have organised by Carmen, Fabrizio and Karina.

• BOD & Committee Meetings

This year we had 12 scheduled monthly Board of Directors meetings with numerous additional extra meetings also held. In addition each WDO committee had their meetings. Several committees had to meet a few times a month when dealing with important and time sensitive matters.

We thank you all for your support and look forward to the coming year with optimism and enthusiasm. We stand united in our beliefs for fairness, integrity and freedom for all.
